Berrow beach is home to the shipwreck, the SS Nornen a Norwegian Braque, which ran aground in the 1890's. In 2003 Sedgemoor District Council wanted to remove the wreck from the beach because they thought it could be a danger if any jet-skiers or small boats were to hit the wreck while submerged at high tide
