Frank Foley was a true unsung hero who helped thousands of Jews to escape from Nazi Germany, He was born in Highbridge, in 1884,and was a quiet and unassuming man. An MI6 agent based at the British Embassy in Berlin during the 1930s he often sheltered Jews and provided them with the necessary passports etc to escape to Britain and Palestine.
