Crewkerne & District Museum was opened in its present form in 2000 It is a small museum run by volunteers in an historic 18th century fronted house. This facade hides a much older dwelling behind. "Many aspects of local history are explored in the museum - industries, commerce, religion, education and domestic life. Changing displays of photographs and other items from the collection or on loan are on view in the Exhibition Room"
