There are two well-kept lakeside nature trails at Chew Valley Lake. First the Grebe Trail, which is the most accessible of the two, with a hard surface suitable for people with pushchairs or wheelchairs. This starts and ends at the wooded picnic area. Second the Bittern Trail which is a 1 mile circuit which can get a bit muddy in parts in wet weather. There is a bird hide where you can sit and enjoy watching the wildlife over the lake.
