St Mary’s Church or Minister was restored to its former glory in 1825 by William Burgess and this was followed by further restoration work in 1887 and 1902. The church has two magnificent bells, one dating from 1732 and made by Thomas Bilbie and the other from 1790 made by William Bilbie
